World Beats Rhythm Night

If you are looking for connection through hand drumming and want to learn lots of different styles to fit your musical tastes and moods, Linda and Nancy bring more than 30 years of combined world percussion experience to our amazing music scene here in Asheville with a 1-hour hands-on workshop starting March 8th.

Featuring world rhythms of west Africa: djembe and doun-douns; Mid-Eastern: doumbeks, darbukas and rics [frame drums with jingles]; Celtic: bodhrans and frame drums; Latin/Afro-Cuban: congos, bongos and a myriad of percussive accent instruments that will keep us all in the groove!

These workshops are geared toward novices and the never played-EVER beginners, as-well-as non-beginners who want to improve their playing and listening skills or learn how to play new percussion instruments in a respectful, supportive, listening environment.

If you do not currently own a drum, we have plenty for your use during the workshop. If you have a favorite drum, bring it.
