For more than six decades, Asheville Community Theatre has been delighting audiences with high quality performances, making us the oldest continuously operating theatre in Asheville and one of the oldest community theatres in the nation.

It all started on June 12, 1946 with a small notice in the local paper. The notice in the Social News called for all persons interested in forming a community theatre to meet the following night.
